Nicole Zahour
Nicole Zahour is a New York artist who has been creating jewelry since her first metal smith course as a freshman in High School over 15 years ago. She has a B.A. in Art Therapy with a minor in Studio Art from Seton Hill University. Zahour has lived, worked and studied art in Pittsburgh, PA; London, England; Leipzig, Germany; Prague, Czech Republic; Porto, Portugal and New York City.
She works with wax casting, forging, precious stone setting and enameling. The influence of her clay and sculptural background is visible in her work. Her hand carved fluid pieces are akin to “wearable sculptures.” She is inspired by the contrast between the calming nature of the countryside where she grew up and the industrial, busy city where she now resides.
